What should I expect when I first get braces?
What do I do if something hurts?
What is the difference between Invisalign and Braces?
Q: How much is your consultation?
A: There is no charge for the first visit! Just call us to schedule a day and time.
Q: Do you accept transfer patients?
A: Yes! We gladly accept transfer patients.
Q: How soon can I get started with braces?
A: It usually takes 1-2 weeks from the first time we see you, to the day you get braces on. After the first visit, Dr. Gee typically ask for x-rays to see the position of the roots, teeth that have not grown in yet (for children), wisdom teeth, and other aspects that could affect treatment. Once x-rays are received, you will have a second consultation where Dr. Gee will review them with you, go over your treatment plan in more depth, and discuss your financing options including payment plans.
Q: Do you offer payment plans?
A: Yes! Typically there is a down payment due when treatment starts followed by monthly payments throughout treatment.
Q: What insurances do you accept?
A: We accept most major insurances with orthodontics on the plan. Bring your insurance card to your initial new patient visit and when you are ready to start we will verify that your particular plan includes orthodontics.
Q: What questions should I ask before selecting a new insurance plan?
A: If you have not started treatment and want to choose a plan with ortho coverage, we recommend asking whether the plan has a waiting period for orthodontic benefits, whether the plan covers the policy holder, and whether there is an age limit for dependents.
If you are already in treatment, then it is also important to also ask whether the plan covers work in progress for orthodontics.
Q: What forms of payment do you accept?
A: We accept cash, checks, money order, and major credit cards except American Express.
